Sylwia Kowalik Violin B.Mus (Perf) (Bachelor Music Performance)
Sylwia Kowalik Sylwia Kowalik started the violin at the age of 6 with her father Zdzislaw (George) Kowalik and since then has studied with some of Australia's most respected violin teachers such as Alice Waten, Christopher Kimber, Peter Zhang and Janet Davies.

Sylwia is a twice winner of the Australian Academy Award and has obtained music scholarships to Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Australian String Academy and to Meadowmount Summer School in U.S.A. She has performed and recorded the Szymanowski Violin Concerto no. 2 live with the Sydney Youth Orchestra at the Sydney Recital Hall for ABC Classic Fm. Sylwia has also appeared on live radio broadcast for 2MBS FM as an Emerging Young Artist and has also performed for ABC Classic FM Rising Stars Program. Since completing her Bachelor of Music (Performance) in June 2006 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sylwia founded the Orava String Quartet which since its formation has been performing at concerts and festivals nationally and internationally.

Catherine Ghisla Violin B.Mus (Perf), M.Mus, Associate Diploma (Perf) (Bachelor Music Performance, Master Music Performance & Associate Diploma Performance)
Catherine Ghisla Catherine commenced her violin studies at the age of five. She completed a Bachelor Music (performance) under the direction of Christopher Kimber at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Masters of Music (performance) at the University of New South Wales under the direction of Mark Ingwersen (Australian Chamber Orchestra) and completed her Associate diploma for piano performance (A.M.E.B).

Catherine regularly performs with various ensembles in Sydney and teaches violin at the Kings School.

Katrina Papallo Violin B.Mus.Ed L.Mus.A (Bachelor Music Education & Licentiate Music Australia)
Katrina Papallo Katrina completed a Bachelor of Music Education Degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She has also completed the Licentiate level on violin.

Katrina has a keen interest in teaching both violin and piano. She has also been playing professionally in string quartets for the past 8 years and has experience performing in many orchestras for the past 15 years, including the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.

Steven Meyer - Cello B.Mus, L.Mus.A, Dip Mus. (Bachelor Music, Licentiate of Music Australia, & Diploma of Music)
Stephen Meyer Steve is a versatile Sydney musician with a passion for chamber music. He studied cello with Susan Blake at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music graduating with a distinction in cello performance. As a chamber musician, Steve has performed for the Governor of NSW and the 21 world leaders of the 2007 APEC forum. He has performed in masterclasses for Alexander Ivashkin, Theodore Kuchar and members of the Tackas, Australian and Jerusalem Quartets and the Eggner Trio. Steve has played principal cello for the Bourbaki ensemble and the Sydney Opera House Orchestra on tour in 2007 and teaches chamber music at the Conservatorium High School.
